Avec Twenty-six days et Twenty-seven days, son journal américain, Franck Gérard convie l’écriture pour accompagner ses photographies. Il nous invite à partager son errance, de San Francisco à New York, en passant par Los Angeles et le désert, en postant chaque jour sur sa page Facebook une photographie accompagnée d’un texte. La photographie est ici amplifiée, augmentée par le récit qui l’accompagne. Sans se limiter à la simple illustration du texte, la photographie est alors l’acmé de l’expérience, vécue et décrite dans la quasi instantanéité. Les chroniques de Franck Gérard nous plongent dans le monde tel qu’il le voit et le perçoit et s’incarne dans ses photographies.
