STATUETTES
These are 64 sculptures set on a black photograph. The towers are imaginary and not copies of existing structures, but they evidently reflect architecture from the past and present. Working with stone requires time and labor and in some ways is a contrast to the time it takes to snap a photograph. It is a kind of “Vanités” that takes on ancient and modern myths (Babylone and Dubai for example) as well as our relationship with time, power, and architecture.
