EN L’ÉTAT Begun July 13, 1999

En l'état is a collection of photographs taken in real-life situations, at times autonomous and sequential. Inventory of everyday life, collection of themes and obsessions, index of shapes, of gestures, of situations or incidents ( . . .), This collection is connected to the notion of receptivity in which we find ourselves facing the world.

Each image acts as a word with which you or I could write phrases, poems, or even tell stories. It is a sort of modest and poetic encyclopedia of my wanderings in public and private spaces.

This collection brings together tens of thousands images that are in the process of being indexed.

Thanks a lot to Kristine Nelson for the english translation.
